2021–Present
President Ibrahim Abdulai Masiga has led Yankasa Association since 2021, bringing renewed energy and vision to the organization. Under his leadership, the Association has been actively involved in transformative community initiatives, including the training of medical doctors and expanding programs that empower members across the Ghanaian and broader American Muslim community in the Bronx.

Structured courses in Qur'anic studies, Arabic language, and Islamic principles for learners of all ages.

Ceremonial Services

Child naming ceremonies (Aqiqah) and marriage celebrations (Nikah) conducted with reverence and in conformity with Islamic tenets.

Bereavement & Funeral Support

Prayer services (Janazah), funeral arrangements, and burial coordination — ensuring loved ones are honored with dignity.

Computer Literacy Program

Hands-on computer and digital skills training for adult community members, helping bridge the digital divide.

Youth Development & Leadership

Mentorship, cultural enrichment, and community service projects helping young people develop leadership and identity.

Humanitarian Assistance

Disaster relief drives, community outreach, and social welfare coordination — mobilizing resources when communities need help.

Community Impact & Social Welfare

Yankasa Association has a proud track record of community service — from organizing clothing and cash drives for Haiti earthquake relief in 2010, to contributing 100% of Friday prayer proceeds to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy in 2012. We continue to mobilize resources whenever communities are in need.
